Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy Eifelidyll / GDPR (as of 2021/05)
You can generally visit and use our websites completely anonymously without any restrictions. All your connections to this website are mandatorily end-to-end encrypted to prevent potential misuse by third parties.
Our web servers automatically store some general technical information such as details about the web browser, operating system, screen resolution, domain name of your internet service provider, browsing history, as well as the date and duration of your visit to the website.
These are exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. We evaluate this data only for statistical purposes and exclusively in anonymous form.
Cookies
Since the GDPR came into effect, we use so-called cookies to display the mandatory cookie notices during your visit to the website, along with an additional link to this Privacy Policy.
However, you can easily reject or restrict cookies through appropriate settings in your browser; this has no impact on the functionality of these websites.
External Services
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer to help analyze how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website may be transmitted to and stored on Google’s servers in the USA.
If IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will truncate your IP address within EU member states or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
With the “EU-U.S. Privacy Shield” certification (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active), Google is obliged to comply with EU data protection standards, even when processing data in the USA.
Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies through the appropriate browser settings; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
Further information about Google’s data usage, settings, and objection options can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
To address concerns about using analytics tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”, which processes IP addresses only in truncated form to exclude direct personal references.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” on this website. The provider in Europe and Switzerland is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”).
reCAPTCHA verifies whether data entered on our websites (specifically in contact and reservation forms) is made by a human or an automated program. The analysis begins automatically once the website visitor accesses the site. Various information, such as the IP address, the time spent on the website, or mouse movements made by the user, are evaluated by reCAPTCHA. The data collected during the analysis is transmitted to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.
Our legitimate interest in the sense of the GDPR in using this external service lies in protecting our web offerings against misuse through automated spying and SPAM.
Further information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google’s Privacy Policy can be found at the following links: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.
Additional Google Services Used
We use Google Maps for route calculation to our location, as well as Google Chart APIs for dynamically generating QR codes. Additionally, we occasionally use links to YouTube videos in relevant contexts.
Other External Service Providers
Currently, we use small service applets from wetterdienst.de (current weather) and zoover.nl (review portal) on various pages. This requires these providers to receive your IP address to send the respective data to your browser.
Analytics with Matomo (formerly Piwik)
Due to data protection concerns regarding the use of Google services, especially Google Analytics, we are testing the software Matomo, which is developed with special consideration for anonymity and data protection concerns. Tracking cookies are also used by this software and processed by our service provider (“Data Processor”) on our behalf but do not leave the servers.
Moreover, a simple “Do Not Track” / “Block Page Elements” setting in your browser is sufficient to completely block tracking and thus the analysis of your website visit.
Video Surveillance
Some areas of our facilities, specifically access points and waste disposal areas, are protected by video surveillance. The video surveillance serves to exercise property rights, prevent criminal acts, and secure evidence in the event of crimes. The legal basis for video surveillance is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, where our interests arise from the aforementioned purposes.
The data is stored exclusively within our protected local network for a maximum duration of 21 days and is explicitly not stored in an external cloud. Access to the data is limited to explicitly authorized campsite staff. Data transmission to third parties (e.g., police) occurs only if necessary for investigating crimes.
Purpose-Oriented Data Usage
We adhere to the principle of purpose-oriented data usage and collect, process, and store your personal data only for the purpose you have specified, e.g., to fulfill a contract concluded with you or to respond to your inquiry.
The data is stored in accordance with legal requirements for the prescribed period.
No transmission of your personal data to third parties occurs beyond the legal provisions.
Changes
We reserve the right to change this privacy notice at any time. Any changes will be communicated by publishing the amended Privacy Policy on our website. Unless otherwise specified, such changes will take immediate effect. Please review this Privacy Policy regularly to see the latest version.
